CARING FOR YOUR OUTDOOR FURNITURE:

• To protect from sun and dust damage, we recommend to cover your furniture with Tribe custom- made covers when not in use.
• To optimise the quality of your pieces keep in a shaded area and ideally during the hot summer months store undercover or inside if possible.
• Cleaning outdoor fabric periodically with mild soap and water keeps the fabric looking fresh. For stubborn stains, clean with a solution of warm water and a mild detergent, then rinse throughly. After cleaning the outdoor furniture, always rinse throughly with warm water and allow to air dry. Do not use washing machine. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.
• Clean frames with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive scrubbers or cleaners as they can scratch the surface and expose the frame to rust-inducing moisture. For ingrained dirt, use a non-abrasive cleaner cream cleanser.
• For metal frames: Do not HOSE or let legs stand in water, this will increase risk of rust.
• Natural Teak weathers to a beautiful silver-grey patina over time. This weathering process will vary depending on climate, exposure to the elements, and commitment to care and maintenance. We strongly recommend using our custom-made outdoor covers to protect furniture from the elements and prolong the life of your product.

CARING FOR YOUR RUGS:

• Vacuum your rugs regularly, as minimal shedding of loose fibres may occur with a new rug (use a basic, non-rotating brush head on the vacuum cleaner).
• Promptly clean spills by blotting them with a paper towel. Do not rub stains as it can cause them to become set in the fibres. Add soda water the stain and continue to blot until the spill is removed.
• Do not dry-clean or use harsh chemicals that could damage or fade your rugs.
• Do not fold your rug for storage or keep it in an airtight bag.
• Avoid direct, continuous exposure to sunlight, rotate your rug to promote even wear.
• Professional cleaning is recommended on occasion as required.

CARING FOR YOUR SOFA FABRICS:

Regular care
• Vacuum regularly using low suction head.
• Rotate reversible cushions regularly to wear evenly.
• Protect from direct sunlight

Cleaning
Professional cleaning recommended as required. For all throw cushions we recommend cleaning only with a professional company. Do not machine wash covers.

Spot cleaning
Treat spills and stains as soon as possible. Gently scrape any soil or blot any liquid from the surface of the fabric. Apply proprietary cleaning agents strictly according to instructions to remove the residue of the spill. Do not saturate the fabric or interior with water or other cleaning liquids.

Pilling
Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered as a fault. Fibre pills can be removed by a pilling tool available from most hardware stores or online.

Remove pet fur from furniture with a lint roller or vacuum cleaner.

CARE FOR WOOD AND BAMBOO ITEMS

• For cleaning wipe with a damp cloth.
DO NOT use cleaning detergents on the items.
• Unless otherwise stated do not place wood and bamboo items outdoors in direct sunlight or expose to moisture.
• Always use coasters, placemats and trivets to protect surfaces from wet and hot items.

CARE FOR WALL HANGINGS (NOT ARTWORK) AND ACCESSORIES

• Use a dry cloth to gently remove any dust.

Keep Your Items Dry
Since our baskets and wall hangings are crafted from natural materials, exposure to water can damage them. If you wish to use your basket as a plant pot, place your plant in a plastic lining with a saucer to catch excess water to prevent water from coming into contact with the basket.

Protect from Direct Sunlight
To maintain the vibrant colour of your item, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Strong sunlight can cause a natural dye to fade.

Reshaping a Flattened Basket
If your basket arrives flattened due to shipping, reshape it by gently spraying water on the inside and outside of the flattened area, place the basket on a flat surface, and use your hand to mould it back to its original shape

CARE FOR GLASS/MIRRORED GLASS

• Wipe with a slightly damp cloth as required.
• Objects placed on glass or mirrored glass should always have a felt protector applied to the underside of the item so as not to scratch the surface.
• Any items placed on the glass should be the correct weight for the glass thickness and distance spanned
